Back from Bangkok

Yep, I'm back after a week off from dA ... well, not exactly a week ... can't survive that long :giggle: Haven't been logging on, just some short peeks here and there. Was away on a trip to Bangkok. Yeah, shopping and lotsa walking!

The weather was surprising cooling, and at times cold and windy especially in the mornings! Darn, no one told me about that ... and guess what, I brought all spaggy-strap tops (except for one, which didn't really help either!). Goose bumps in the mornings, and being someone who can't take cold (or heat either) very well I was practically shivering during the morning tour to the Summer Palace :faint: Couldn't even hold the darn camera steadily :blushes: I am serious, man ... no joke ... mua tak boleh tahan sejuk punya!

Lotsa shopping done, especially at the Platinum mall which was selling goods at wholesale prices. Man, who can resist that ... and it was like 2 or 4 pieces for wholesale price, otherwise it's normal price! The more you buy, the cheaper you can bargain for! Such excuse to go on a shopping frenzy eh ... but luckily, I'm rather good at holding myself back! Buahahaha, bullshit la ... actually it was because not all things come in my petite size ... if I was really the "standard" size, pretty sure one luggagge couldn't fit all coz I would have probably gone on a tee-shirt shopping craze!

Followed a day tour to the Summer Palace and Ayutthaya ancient city. Ahhh, another crap ... waste of time rather! If I knew the itinerary was going to be like that, I'd probably would have gone for the floating market one  We practically had to finish up the Summer Palace and 3 places in Ayutthaya before lunch, which left us like maybe only 4 hours to do those places including the travelling time ok! I was hoping for more places in Ayutthaya, but for lunch and after that ... it was cruise along the Chao Praya river alllllll the way right up to 4pm! Urgh :faint: Well, at least the lunch buffet on board the cruise was not too bad.

And oh gosh, we were practically late for flight home. We had to tell the taxi driver to speed up, something which I would never thought I'd do in Bangkok. We were the second last ones to board the plane home to KL! It was already final call when we were still halfway walking through the terminal! The ground stewardesses were even urging us to quickly board the plane. So much for Malaysian time eh! And all because of last minute shopping

Yeah, pictures will be coming up ... can't promise when though. Am pretty much tied up at working, trying to meet the deadlines before the Chinese New Year holidays. And trying hard to pick up from where I left off before I went on leave for this trip :giggle:
