Life ...
Past, present and future Filled with ups and downs, problems and doubts. Do you run away from it? Put an end to it? Do you control it? Or do you let it control you? Life ... Learn the keys of it, the keys to it Let its gentle strokes soothe you, the keys to guide you. Life ... Learn to see the big picture, the whole picture to it. ..~..~..~===============~..~..~.. Yes, yes, I kinda admit that this piece is rather lame ... I'm prepared, so you out there can start shooting at it, tear it apart |

I love the arrangments of the photographs and how you've used the lighting to highlight certain keys. It's really effective, and looks really good as well. But definatly i love the keys that have the light shining on them, as there is so much you can say about them.
First the arrow keys. At first it made me think of the past, which would be the down arrow key, the future, which would be the up arrow key, and the present which would be either of the left or right pointing arrows. Then it reminded me of school, college and jobs, and all the choices we have to make in our lives. All the different directions we can take with our lives. It also reminds me of the ups and down we can have in our lives.
Next i like the '4' key that has been highlighted. At first i was looking at it trying to work out what the number 4 had to do with our lives, but then the dollar sign above it caught my eye, and it reminded me of how money has become almost a necessity to our lives, and all the trouble it causes, as well as the happiness it can bring to people as well. It also reminds me of the world economy, as well as about the more economically developed world, and the less economically developed world, the rich and the poor.
The question mark and slash key i also like. The world and our lives are very confusing sometimes, and sometimes i feel like there should be a question mark sitting above my head.
The escape key is also a nice addition to the photograph. It could mean alot of things. How some people escape from life by commiting suicide, or how some people abandon one life to start a new one somewhere else. Or when mentally, we just escape certain things in our lives and try to forget about them. I think it goes well with the end key following after the escape key. It reminds me of how everything that lives must die and come to an end.
The control key reminds me of politics and government, as well as 'higher figures' in our lives like parents, older siblings or even teachers. How sometimes you feel like you're being told what to do by them, and therefore being controlled by them somehow. It also reminds me of drugs or addictions, and how to an extent they could control your life. It also makes me think of things that are out of control, such as people dieing of old age, and how we can't cure old age or people dieing of illness.
This really is an awesome piece of conceptual work. It's extremely thought provoking and i love the idea of useing a keyboard to demonstrate how life is sometimes. There isn't anything in this piece i would fault. It's fantastic.
And sorry for the long comment!
Thanks again

For the arrow keys, I actually toned down the brightness of it ... the lighting original pic was a little too bright, doesn't really blend with the rest of the pictures. neway, thanks for viewing
