This is my second attempt on this subject, the initial one [Painful Concentration] couldn't be used for the CIRCLE challenge. So, I decided to use the same idea and kept the manipulations to a bare minimum with only adjustments of levels, contrast and sharpness. And oh, this time round I arranged the pencils in groups of the same colour tone :XD:

Submitting for the CIRCLE challenge on =onewordphoto ... and got 2nd placing for it with 13 votes [link] ... wheeeeeeeee! Thank you, thank you so much for all who voted. :bow: :hug:

Lovely, this is the kind of picture that makes you crosseyed when you look at it too long. Like the ones playing mindtricks. Very nice, the colors are awesome!

Very nice photo, has my eyes darting all over it. I also like the slightly off center aproach. It's just a shame that focus is slightly lost on the blue pencils in the lower left corner. The image is also a little cool with a slight shift to the blue end of the spectrum was this intentional?

Um, me am s*cker when comes to color-matching ... I didn't have any idea on the spectrum. I just arranged the colours according to their tones - from light to dark (or vice versa). Yep, I kinda agree on the focus part - I initially wanted the whole pic to be sharp and clear but then I only realised that the focus has fallen unto the bottom center of the pencils after I downloaded the pics.

Wonderful use of a subject that's been widely used on photography!
I like the colours, the circle itself and the way it isn't centered on the photo area :nod:
